Chattanooga is the fourth largest city in Tennessee. Located on the Tennessee river near the border of Georgia, it is the home of the Chattanooga Choo-Choo, the tune made popular by Glenn Miller. During the American Civil War, Chattanooga was a major rail hub and the center of many pitched battles. These battles are remembered through numerous battlefield parks and Civil War attractions located in and around the city. In more modern times, the city has received national recognition for the renaissance of its downtown and redevelopment of its riverfront.
